Meet Jesus
Seven days in the opening of John's Gospel — who Jesus is, straight from the friend who knew him best.
Day 1 · about 5 min
John 1:1–18
John opens his Gospel not in Bethlehem but before time itself. The Word who made everything has stepped into the world he made — and John wants you to know this is someone you can actually meet.
Day 2 · about 5 min
John 1:19–34
Crowds are asking John the Baptist if he is the one they've been waiting for. His answer is a pointed finger: look at Jesus — the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
Day 3 · about 5 min
John 1:35–51
Jesus' first followers don't get a lecture — they get an invitation: "Come and see." Today watch how ordinary people become disciples one honest conversation at a time.
Day 4 · about 5 min
John 2:1–12
A village wedding runs out of wine — an embarrassment, not a crisis. Jesus' first sign is quiet, generous, and better than anyone expected. John calls it a glimpse of his glory.
Day 5 · about 5 min
John 2:13–25
The temple courts were meant to be a meeting place with God; they've become a marketplace. Jesus' zeal here isn't temper — it's love for what the place was for.
Day 6 · about 5 min
John 3:1–21
A respected religious leader comes to Jesus at night with careful questions. Jesus answers with something no one saw coming: you must be born again. This chapter holds the most famous verse in the Bible — read it slowly, like it's new.
Day 7 · about 5 min
John 3:22–36
John the Baptist's followers are worried his crowd is shrinking. His reply is one of the most freeing sentences in Scripture: "He must increase; I must decrease." Joy, it turns out, lives on the far side of that trade.
